WLWT and Hearst Television announced Thursday Olivia Ray has joined the WLWT News 5 team as Sports Anchor/Reporter.
Viewers can expect to see Ray covering local Cincinnati sports on WLWT effective immediately.
Ray is an Emmy Award winning Sports Reporter and Anchor who was most recently at WISH-TV in Indianapolis, where she covered the Colts, Pacers, and Indy Car Racing.
Ray also reported live from the sidelines and courtside during the biggest games for Indiana University, Purdue University, and Butler University, as well as local High School sports.
Ray began her career at WSBT in South Bend, IN covering Notre Dame Football.
Ray is a graduate of Indiana University’s Ernie Pyle School of Journalism.
“Olivia’s experience covering the NFL, Big Ten, Big East, as well as in-depth local coverage of High School sports makes her a great addition to our team,” said WLWT News Director Jeff Benscoter. “Olivia is an Indiana native, and we’re excited to have her covering her hometown region,” Benscoter added.
