Looking for ways to keep children entertained over the summer holidays? Sara Davies has been sharing some easy craft activities to keep your little ones busy and away from their screens – and we love her latest DIY project.
In a video shared on her Instagram, the Dragons’ Den star showed off her easy method to make pom pom flowers, a creative way to keep kids occupied during the holidays.
To make the flowers, Sara wrapped yellow wool around a green pipe cleaner using a fork.
Then she twisted the pipe cleaner around the yarn, removed the fork and cut the looped ends of the flower yarn with scissors.
In the caption alongside the video she wrote: “If you’re looking for ways to entertain the kids this summer then here’s another corker of a craft. How flippin’ cute are these!
“There are so many ways to make faux flowers but this one is super easy, the kids will love choosing their own colours and will be proud as punch when they’ve made them.
“All you need for this one is some wool, pipe cleaners and a fork!”
Fans were quick to show how much they loved her latest project, with @pops_creativeplay commenting “Such a cute idea” and @lisa_jane2022 commenting “Very cute”.
Looking for more inspiration? This isn’t the first kids summer craft idea that Sara has shared – we loved her easy friendship bracelets tutorial and her idea to make your own scavenger hunt as well as water guns made from scratch.
