Leinenkugel’s is a Wisconsin brewery with six generations of family history that’s been brewing beer for almost 150 years. It was purchased by the Miller Brewing company in 1988 and is now part of the Molson Coors family of beers.
Even though they are now a Big Beer property, Leinenkugel’s has retained its Great Lakes identity and has rabid following that love what they do.
And one of the beers that Leinenkugel’s fans are going crazy is a peach beer, believe it or not…
Leinenkugel’s Juicy Peach is the Great Lakes region’s top new ‘craft’ brand of 2022, and the top new beer offering in Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin.
And, despite being sold only in the Great Lakes region, Juicy Peach ranks as the No. 4 new craft brand in the nation, according to year-to-date IRI multi-outlet and convenience data through July 31.

So yeah, Great Lakes beer fans are evidently crazy about this peach beer…
“Juicy Peach got off to a hot start, and it hasn’t looked back,” says Tony Bugher, who is set to take over as brewery president upon Dick Leinenkugel’s retirement in 2023. “It’s already exceeded its full-year plan and our expectations.”
Leinenkugel’s Juicy Peach is a 4.4% ABV mild sour-style beer that is brewed with light tartness that’s balanced with the sweet flavor of natural peaches.
“We haven’t seen this type of reaction and overall support and momentum behind a new launch in a while,” he says. “It’s definitely one of the strongest launches we’ve seen.”
While sales are the bottom line proof of any beer’s popularity, consumers are backing things up with their own take. Leinenkugel’s dropped consumer surveys into select packs of Juicy Peach, and 92% of respondents said they were very satisfied or satisfied, beating beer benchmarks for such questionnaires.
“It’s a hit with retailers and it’s a hit with drinkers,” Bugher added…
So much for Midwesterners being traditionalists…
