God of War Ragnarok is not an easy game by any means. During your journey, you are going to explore a total of nine different Realms that will contain tons of secrets to uncover, powerful items to collect, and creatures to defeat. While some enemies that you encounter might seem like a piece of cake, others will not be so easily defeated.
Something you can do that will help make some of your battles easier to fight is to craft and acquire Armor Sets. A great Armor Set that you can use later on in the game is the Dragon Scaled Armor Set. Crafting the Dragon Scaled Armor Set will take you a little bit of time, but it will all be worth it in the end. Plus, you also unlock the Silver Trophy: Dragon Slayer, just for crafting the Dragon Scaled Armor Set.
Crafting the Dragon Scaled Armor Set is not something you will be able to do early on in God of War Ragnarok. This is something that will have to come a little bit later in the game. The first thing you are going to want to do is complete the Favor: Scent of Survival (located in Vanaheim). Once you have completed this Favor, the ability to craft the Dragon Scaled Armor Set will be there for you.
Dragon Scale Bracers
Dragon Scale Breastplate
Dragon Scale Girdle
In order to complete the full set, you are going to have to acquire a total of 34,000 Hacksilver, 22 Dragon Tooth, and only 1 Dragon Claw. The Hacksilver shouldn’t be too much of a problem, especially later on in the game. However, it is the Dragon Tooth and Dragon Claw that will require a little exploration to acquire all that you need.
Getting Dragon Tooth is not extremely hard to do. You can collect these by killing Drakes, Derkis, and Dragons. Some bosses that drop Dragon Tooth are Gravel Belly, The Corpse Eater, Double Dreki, Slag Horn, Dreki, and Crag Jaw just to name a few. By killing these bosses and other Drakes, Derkis, and Dragons, you shouldn’t have a problem collecting a total of 22 Dragon Tooth. It is only going to take you a little bit of extra time.
The hardest part of crafting the Dragon Scaled Armor Set in God of War Ragnarok is perhaps getting your hand on a Dragon Claw. All you have to do is kill a dragon and you will be rewarded with a Dragon Claw. Sounds easy enough, but it could be a little harder than you think. However, one of the first Dragons you will come across in God of War Ragnarok is The Crimson Dread found in Vanaheim. If you travel to Vanaheim, you will start the quest to kill this dragon as soon as you enter the area. Kill The Crimson Dread and you will get a Dragon Claw. There are plenty of other dragons that you can kill for Dragon Claw. The more dragons you can find, the more Dragon Claw you will obtain, and you only need 1 Dragon Claw to craft the entire Dragon Scaled Armor Set.
Once you have acquired all the materials that you need for the Armor Set, you can go ahead and use the Crafting Menu to craft all three pieces of the Armor Set. Once you do that, you should unlock the PlayStation Silver Trophy: Dragon Slayer and have a cool Armor Set that will help you in many other battles that you encounter in God of War Ragnarok.
