Deliveroo is expanding its non-food empire with a new partnership that’s set to revolutionise the DIY market.
The rapid-delivery platform has teamed up with B&Q to offer more than 600 home improvement products for delivery in as little as 25 minutes from nine London stores, the Times reported.
The move marks another significant step in Deliveroo’s strategy to diversify its offerings beyond food.
Since launching its ‘Deliveroo Shopping’ service last November, the company has rapidly expanded its non-grocery partner base, which now includes the likes of Screwfix, The Perfume Shop, and Ann Summers.
Despite these challenges, B&Q is clearly betting on speed and convenience to drive sales.
By partnering with Deliveroo, the home improvement giant aims to meet the growing consumer demand for instant gratification.
“There is a huge home improvement market in the UK and our data shows that customers want the convenience of being able to order everything from paint brushes and paint to tools for delivery in as little as 25 minutes,” said Deliveroo’s COO, Eric French.
The collaboration between Deliveroo and B&Q is a bold move that could redefine the home improvement shopping experience.
If successful, it could inspire other retailers to explore similar rapid-delivery options, potentially disrupting the entire retail landscape.
