CGMatter, the well-known Blender Artist and tutorial creator, is back with a new video about boiling water. He covers two approaches: a traditional simulation, which is realistic but can take quite a while to bake, and a Geometry Nodes setup that creates “fake” procedural results much faster.

Which version do you prefer? All the custom nodes CGMatter uses in his tutorials are available for free, with more being added over time. If you’re on Blender 5.2 or newer, you’ll find them as a remote asset library.
